The Cheshirian Effect has been defined as the absolute attraction towards a person of desire. Under the definition, the person of desire is commonly known as Cheshire. The effect takes place when the subject voluntarily develops a monogamous commitment to his/her Cheshire for an infinite amount of time.
Our subject, in this case, as quoted by his girlfriend has fallen "hopelessly and helplessly" into the Cheshirian Effect.
Using the naturalistic observation in the attempt to understand the role of "The Cheshirian Effect" in our subject and his social behavior, one has to explore the physiological and neurobiological processes that underlie certain functions and behaviors.
The study of the effect looks into concepts such as perception, cognition, attention, emotion, motivation, brain functioning, personality, behavior, and interpersonal relationships. Some, might also consider the unconscious mind.
The Cheshirian Effect advances in different stages. The early stages of the effect induces the individual to form new habits. For instance, our subject described his experiences in the early stages as the following:
- Calls just to hear her voice
- Loves to see her smile
- Does something stupid just to hear her laugh
- Listens to her when she is upset
As the effect moves into the growth stage, the subject looks into forming new attributes to impress Cheshire. According to our subject, he has achieved the following:
- Better shape
- Shorter hair
- Eats her carrots and leftovers
- Travels and takes care of her
- Is always caught staring at her
As the effect progresses to the mature stage, the subject has a newfound tendency to get rid of old habits. The subject listed some of the following occurrences:
- Stop chewing with sound
- Stop being flatulent in front of Cheshire
- Doing no. 2 is designated places
- Washing his hands whenever at home
As the effect reaches the plateau, the effect would no longer advance or decline. By then, the effect will have its full effect on the subject. When that happens, the subject will:
- Will do anything willingly/unwillingly for her
- Knows everything consciously/ unconsciously about her
- Let her handle his finances
- Always tell her she's beautiful
- Protect her from any kind of danger
- Love her with all his heart!
As the study reaches its conclusion, our observation shows that our subject has been deeply affected by the Cheshirian Effect. As of now, there might not be any apparent side-effects; however, we have notified our subject of the future possibility of feeling unfairness, annoyance and impoverished (broke). Our subject understands clearly of the outcomes and has inappropriately expressed his unconditional love for his Cheshire.
Our final say on the Cheshirian Effect. It works wonders.
