Beginning of Spring

I always knew that there was someday.
Never did I expected that you would head my way.
You took me away by surprise,
Simply captivated when I looked into your eyes.

The first thing I wanted to do is to pull you close that day.
The sight of you made my head filled with cheers,
And you told me what you had to say.

Your words of affection, from the heart, fell upon my ears.

Whispered softly,
Knowing it’s just what I wanted to hear
Our lips touched,
While our fingers gently intwined. You ignited a small flickering flame,

Of passion deep within.
Pulled closer; arms encircled, holding each other near.
Nestled next to you,
I am with someone dear.

As we walked together,
Images of you moving fast in my mind,
Oh, my heart and breath became heavier,
Leaving the green plains where we sat behind.

I have no more fear, pain or sorrow,
No more brooding.
As I looked out the taxi window,

I realized that it is soon the beginning of Spring.
